Blabbermouth Article.

I'm very color based when it comes to album art and it generally as an effect on the music itself for me. I wonder if the band will be sticking with Blue a lot on the next album like they did with Concealed.

Axlaf 07-16-2008 02:40 PM

This is gonna be so awesome. Judging by the mastery performed on Faith Puppeteers and Skyless. Shit.

Claude 09-04-2008 06:40 PM

so, any updates on the album? Cover art? tracks? release dates? anything? :frown:

Fractal_Mortality 09-06-2008 10:51 PM

I'm hungury for some Augury.

Merfolk 09-09-2008 10:56 PM

I started recording the vocals last week. We will mix FE in November. The title refers to the fact that the source for everything I talk about in the lyrics is quite fragmented. I just kind of connected the dots and came with some storytelling by correlating similar events told in different legends or else...

We save the big details for the big launch this winter!
Pat

Claude 09-10-2008 12:04 AM

So no new Augury before January/February I imagine? :(

Oh well, as long as you guys get your own headlining album opening party/gig!

F0RBIDDEN 09-10-2008 06:32 PM

Pat you bastard! So 2009 release now? Goddamn I am impatient.

Merfolk 09-16-2008 10:23 AM

1) It takes long to record. That or that word sounds slurred? Let's record it over and over.
The soundmen with whom we work are much younger than I am and they are disturbed at the idea that my six first recordings took like 2 weeks.. That's technology. If those were to be transfered to digital, mistakes would become obvious and we would want to re record it.

2) We have to deal with personels availability. Sometimes a soundman's previous project takes more time, and when he is available... shit we are on tour that week!!!! We sometimes wait a lot.

Claude 09-16-2008 06:39 PM

^ yeah we get it, were just very anxious that's all! haha

How's the Merfolk lutherie business coming along? :)

Merfolk 09-20-2008 12:24 PM

What I am working on right now will have people talking ....

I wait for a few more guitars made to start a website.

BTW, one of my baybies has its stage baptism tonight :)

Claude 09-20-2008 02:31 PM

for yourself or one of your friends/clients? I personally love the look of your Sunburst Ibanez :P

I'm getting Roter guitars in Poland to build me something pretty cool. Just a straight forward metal guitar. Specs are:

Wenge/Mahogany Neckthru with Maple body wings and flamed maple caps
7 string, 24 fret 27'' scale with Ebony fretboard
T.O.M fixed bridge (string thru)
single bridge Bareknuckle Warpig pickup

I can't get IMG tags to work. so here's the link to a pic :)

The Wenge, Mahogany, and Maple combined with the pickup specs will work great with my amp and playing style!

Ouroboros 09-21-2008 05:21 PM

Beautiful guitar.

KillYourMother 11-24-2008 01:10 PM

how about a demo rough version of...anything? :)

Dexter_prog 11-24-2008 02:31 PM

I'm curious. Will there be those cool female singers in the new record? I know they are not in the band anymore, but maybe some other singers?

I'm pretty sure they're settling as a quartet now since getting singers for live has proven to be a burden from what I hear. All is possible though!

Dexter_prog 11-24-2008 08:13 PM

but I mean at least for the recording. Those singers ruled so much!

Burnout 12-05-2008 02:40 PM

Augury studio photos!

Ouroboros 12-14-2008 04:56 PM

I don't see any microphones set up for the kick drum. So, triggers?

Ouroboros 12-14-2008 04:58 PM

Whoa! A Great Sabatini shirt! That's my friends band.

That's probably because they are setting everything up in the pictures. And they would still need microphones to trigger.

no

Burnout 12-17-2008 08:45 PM

I see them setting up mic's in a couple of the pictures.

You could replace the kick drum sound from a mic in post, yes, but I just assumed since there were no mics in the first couple pictures that they would have a clip on MIDI trigger or something of the sort.

Ouroboros 12-19-2008 03:32 PM

Also, two stereo overhead SDC's and two stereo LDC's in the back corners works fucking wonders.

I recently recorded a kit with two 4050's (in omni) in the back of the room, and two KM184's over the kit, great sound!

Claude 12-21-2008 01:00 AM

So, any word on a release date yet?
