Symmetric Scales and Arpeggios

Here are some symmetric scales/arpeggios in various patterns that I wrote out today. Make sure to play these descending as well as ascending. Hope I didn't put too much here :)
PHP Code:
This is the half-whole scale (in C), also known as the diminished scale.  If you start on the second noteit is the whole-half scale.  The scale has a really cool sound and seems to be commonly used in some jazz-fusion and metal bands like MartyrBlotted ScienceVuvretc.  It works really well for soloing over diminished chord progressions.  Listen to the solo in Martyr's Perpetual Healing for an example of the diminished scale in action.
|------------------------------------------8-9-11-12-||
|----------------------------------8-10-11-----------||
|---------------------------8-9-11-------------------||
|-------------------8-10-11--------------------------||
|-----------9-10-12----------------------------------||
|-8-9-11-12------------------------------------------||

This is an interesting way you can play the scale using string skipping.
|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------||
|---------8-10-11----------10-11-13----------11-13-14----------13-14-16----------14-16-17----------16-17-19--||
|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------||
|-8-10-11---------10-11-13----------11-13-14----------13-14-16----------14-16-17----------16-17-19-----------||
|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------||
|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------||

Same thing, but using the G and E strings.
|--------8-9-11---------9-11-12----------11-12-14----------12-14-15----------14-15-17----------15-17-18--||
|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------||
|-8-9-11--------9-11-12---------11-12-14----------12-14-15----------14-15-17----------15-17-18-----------||
|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------||
|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------||
|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------||

This is the whole tone scale (in A).  I'
ve heard MartyrBlotted Science, and Gorod use it to very interesting effect.  Listen to the solo in Gorod's Hidden Genocide for a great example of this scale in action.
|--------------------------------------11-13-15-||
|-----------------------------10-12-14----------||
|---------------------8-10-12-------------------||
|--------------7-9-11---------------------------||
|-------6-8-10----------------------------------||
|-5-7-9-----------------------------------------||

Another way to play the scale.  It takes less movement but covers fewer notes.
|-------------------------5-7-9-||
|---------------------6-8-------||
|-----------------6-8-----------||
|-----------5-7-9---------------||
|-------6-8---------------------||
|-5-7-9-------------------------||

A string skipping pattern for playing the whole tone scale.  Very simple.
|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------||
|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------||
|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------||
|-------5-7-9--------7-9-11---------9-11-13----------11-13-15----------13-15-17----------15-17-19--||
|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------||
|-5-7-9-------7-9-11--------9-11-13---------11-13-15----------13-15-17----------15-17-19-----------||

Similar to the last, but this covers all the strings.
|---------------------------------------------------9-11-13-||
|----------------------------------8-10-12-------------------||
|--------------------6-8-10----------------8-10-12----------||
|-------5-7-9---------------7-9-11---------------------------||
|-------------6-8-10-----------------------------------------||
|-5-7-9------------------------------------------------------||

Ah, here we are.  The Dim7 arpeggio.  This is used (and abused) by countless death metal (and deathcore) bands.  Necrophagist'
s Foul Body Autopsy is pretty much an exercise in this arpeggioso listen to that if you're not sure what this is.  Here it is in A.
|-------------------------11-14-||
|-------------------10-13-------||
|--------------8-11-------------||
|---------7-10------------------||
|-----6-9-----------------------||
|-5-8---------------------------||

Here'
s a cool string skipping pattern for the dim7 arp.
|--------------------------------
8-11-||
|----------------------
7-10-----------||
|-------------
5-8-----------8-11------||
|-----
4-7---------7-10----------------||
|---------
6-9-------------------------||
|-
5-8---------------------------------||

These last two are some cool patterns that can be repeated using this arpeggio.
||-----------------------------||
||
o---------4-7-10-7----------o||
||-----------------------------||
||------
4-7----------10-7------||
||
o---------------------------o||
||--
5-8-------------------11-8-||

||--------------
5-8-11-8-----------------||
||
o---------4-7-------------------------o||
||-----------------------
11-8------------||
||------
4-7------------------------------||
||
o---------------------------12-9------o||
||--
5-8----------------------------11-8--||
Thanks, hope this helps somebody!
