I think Watchmaker are underrated and yes I've heard plenty of people talk shit about them. Too chaotic, too random, too noisy etc.

Slight misassociation there... Anomalous may have some "djenty" grooves here and there, but they're ultimately an OTT tech death band. Periphery, on the other hand, make me cringe. Even when they get heavy, it still sounds limp-wristed.

Megadeth - Cryptic Writings (and Youthanasia but I think fewer people hate on that one)
