I've been on vacation and I've brought my MP3 player that has had a broken screen for 3 years now. It only contains HTB and I listened a bit to most albums. They are still fucking awesome. Even Pizza was better than I remembered.

I want some philharmonic orkestra to play The Black Hole....Yeah, that will happen....

Edit: I also want to make some instrumental HTB medley someday, but I probably won't.

Life is pretty funny sometimes. We finally had some money as a decent reserve and some to play around with. Now it will mostly need it to have my mouth fixed with a bone transplant and a new tooth.
Some infection is eating away the bone beneath my only fake tooth, and although it doesn't hurt me, I'll have to get this done. I was gonna spend some of the cash on improving myself with some education, but I now I'll spend it to just stay the way I am.

my band is recording three songs next week! I'm excited and nervous! I've never recorded, outside of direct-feed into my amp. I hope I don't embarrass myself! We sound pretty good live at practice though so I imagine it will only be easier in the studio

saw Radiohead in Tampa last night. Heartmelting/mindblowing performance that was kinda hurt by assigned stadium seating so I had to be stuck with a bunch of dumbass drunk people who barely know the band and like to pay for concerts so they talk over all the songs.

I mean, people do that at every show but at least at outdoor venues you can normally walk away from them. or at a metal show it's not like you can hear when other people talk, but for a band like RH it can really hurt the experience.

Yeah, when RH played at Pinkpop 2001, the reviews also talked about people having to learn when to keep their mouth shut.

P.S. Some envy goes to Luigitoilet for being at a Radiohead show anyway.
Oh, and my love was called yesterday if she wanted to go see Rammstein in Antwerpen. Naturally I was saddened that once again we would not spend on of her free days together, but I was a sport and before I got over it I let her go to this now-or-never thing. She had fun.

Been a long while.

My son (Dash, if you remember) is 2 years and 2 months old and doing great despite being born 7 weeks early. I've raised him to head bang to In Flames but not Horse yet. May be a bit chaotic for him but maybe not haha. He also loves the new Thundercats. Fuck yeah.

Tragically, I've lost my mother and stepdad in a fatal accident back in December. Words will never describe the darkness that can inhabit the mind and heart while dealing with the situation. To top it all off, there's a whole legal and financial battle going on that had helped keep me numb most of the time.

I do know this... The opening to one if my favorite songs takes on a whole new meaning for me.

Opened a show for King Conquer, Forty Winters and (most importantly) ABIOTIC. I have a biggg boner for Abiotic. they just got signed to metal blade and they deserve it. they are fucking sick as fuck and it was an honor to play with them. they're also really nice and it meant alot that they complimented my band on our set! They are so much better than us it's not even funny so it was inspiring to hear even if they were just being nice. (we did play a good set though :P )
