MDF: The Fan's POV

So, I already planned on renting out a camera from my university to tape some songs from a few bands for a friend (the camera isn't anything fancy). I thought about other means I could use it. My question is: would anyone be interested in watching something like this where the entire thing is focused on the attendees/merch booths/overall MDF experience? It wouldn't be something long or anything of the sorts. I know that there are other people there making the (last?) MDF movie, but I believe that is solely focused on recording the bands and such. This would be more on the crowd, the pits, MDF Party Brigade (if willing), etc. etc. etc.

Honestly..most of the people attending are fucking stupid. The less we see of them the better.

Less dickish answer: Photography only, no video. Its always awkward and to me, not funny at all, to see a drunk retard talking about metal.

Well, like I said, it's not going to be something long or anything (maybe around 3-5 min or less). In my mind, the main part in it would be like the pit/MDF Party Brigade with all the inflatables and such. There wouldn't be much of people talking about the fest or anything.

I think it would be cool for people who have never been to see the merch cave they set up inside. It always amazes me how much they can cram into that room.

slightly sped up footage of a stroll through the merch areas would be kinda cool.

Robinator will become famous soon enough
I'm probably in the minority here but honestly, I think it's a good idea. Even if a majority of the attendees are utter window lickers indeed still, it would be a great opportunity to sit back, laugh and even probably provide some clever editing sequences for extra lolz.

I am dumb and will say a bunch of stupid shit if you put a camera in front of me. Hit me up and we will arrange something for whatever this art fag shit you're planning on doing is.

Yeah definitely do it. It would be pretty fun to watch in the winter when it's halfway between last year's fest and next year's fest. There are, sometimes, fans that probably shouldn't be allowed to talk in front of the camera. I can't see how that would be a problem if you're editing it down to a relatively short length though.

Why not show all sides? The forward-thinking elitist, the drunk girl in the Bloodbath shirt, the guy who is in every godamn pit, Chicken man, the sweaty Mexican dudes in all leather who fight amongst themselves, the fat guy who only came for Macabre (creepy), the NYDM vesters who only watch the Death Metal bands (also sweat alot)...etc..

That would be a good watch
