Need electronic music recommendations.
...Similar to that kind of stuff :
Love this album so much. Posting some samples and / or DL links would definitely be appreciated too. Thanks everyone. |

The 2 latest Xploding Plastix albums (Treated Timber Resists Rot and The Doncamatic Singalongs) are similar to that Flashbulb one.

I can't think of too many artists doing that style but for chill electro maybe check out Thom Yorke's solo stuff and Flying Lotus, if you havent' already.
DFRNT might have too much of a dub vibe but I think you might enjoy it. I've only heard one album so there might be so hit & miss stuff from him. Again, sorry if you don't like dubstep cause this brings some wobbles but it stays chill... It's really nothing like the shitty genre dubstep has turned into ...when I grabbed the link to that DFRNT song I noticed a bunch of new artists to explore on the side menu so that might send you on a decent hunt. |

+1 on the Xploding Plastix.
Kinda hard to snipe stuff that sounds similar to The Flashbulb, but here are some other things that you may like: Let me know what you like/don't like and I may be able to give you more. Last edited by discombobulation; 04-30-2012 at 12:41 PM.. |

I'm not really much into that style of electronic music anymore, but back then when I was I really enjoyed Wisp as well.
that part from 2.30 onwards so simple, yet so effective also this: genius record |

I wasn't really into the rest of the rest of the stuff that was posted, but the third eye fountain tunes are actually pretty decent!

@ Discomb :
Really liked Wisp and The Third Eye Foundation, especially the first song, the mood in that track is unique. That's exactly the kind of shit I like : "Emotive", synthy, sometimes mellow-sounding electro stuff with a pacing similar to that Third Eye Foundation song. So yeah, if you have any other similar recommendations, please go ahead and post them. I liked the other songs as well. I will definitely check out Blackfilm. The first 3 songs were not exactly what I was looking for but I enjoyed them and will check those out. @ Dunlop : I'm indeed not a fan of Dubstep at all. I did enjoy the first track you posted though. What's the name of the album? |

This is the first time I've heard The Flashbulb. Such good vibes, feels good mang.
+1 for Blaze Tiger too. The following isn't pure electronica, but it's worth a shot. Emancipator is a must. Only one album called Soon Enough It Will Be Cold Enough. One of my all-time favourite albums. You probably already know them but I'd suggest maybe Blue Sky Black Death? Late Night Cinema and Slow Burning Lights are excellent albums, haven't heard the others yet. The Mercury Program might also be your thing too. A Data Learn The Language is their best album. Prolly sounding like a broken record, but the essentials can`t be stressed enough around here (not all are like the flashbulb, but still relevant)

I don't suppose anyone has any recommendations for good electronic music/techniques written for acoustic instruments? Stuff like "La Esprial Eterna" (Brouwer) or maybe even "Atmospheres" (Ligeti).

Metafiction... It's still within the dub genre but it's pretty minimalistic so you don't have to worry about any big bass drops. I listen to it when I'm really hung over
