I know people here hate Pantera but I'd be extremeley stoked, EVEN if Zakk Wylde fills in. Don't get me wrong, he's a great player overall but I'm really not a fan of his style.

When I saw his band open for Judas Priest last November, they were extremely boring. They went from being boring to being downright awful and annoying during the middle of the set when Zakk just stood there alone and played the most irritating, boring and atrocious 10 minute solo I have ever heard in my life. It was so bad it had "Spinal Tap" written all over it. It sounded worse than a drunk Kirk Hammet molesting his cry-baby pedal and his guitar at the same time. Hope if they do re-unite he won't ruin everything.

Zakk Wylde sucks at writing music. Black Label Society is seriously the worst shit I've ever heard in my life. I think the only reason they draw a crowd is the morons into BLS are so drunk on Jager and Jack Daniels that they don't realize the difference between good or bad music.

I loved Pantera but I refuse to go see them with that douchebag filling in for Dimebag.

I'd bet it happens. At one point the money thrown at them to do a show will become high enough that they'll decide to do it. If the demand and money are there which they clearly are at some point the bank accounts of the members will outweigh any antimosity. Then they'll market it as some type of farewell tour and to glorify Dime's life.

And surely i'm not the only one to notice Zakk has never done anything even remotely closed to the mind fucking contorted brutal riffage Dimebag did. He's all about soloing and whatnot. Am i wrong? I'm asking because i haven't followed this douche closely.

If Zakk plays the songs like they appear on the albums it wont be that bad. He used to play Randy Rhoades and Jake E. Lee stuff, so I don't see why he should/could not play Diamond Darrell material.

I don't really mind Zakk Wylde though. I like the stuff he put out with Derek Sherinian. There were a few odd duels there you thought you would never hear. A song featuring Zakk Wylde and Allan Holdsworth.

I went to ozzfest with my family when I was like 13 or so and all I remember from Zakk Wylde is some terrible guitar solo where he'd play a pinch harmonic or use the whammy bar and extend certain notes for like 5 minutes. It was so fucking awful.
