Release date? Can't wait for it to come out, I don't care what it costs. Would it be possible to see a full open air show featured on the new DVD? I am a brand new fan, and have only heard the new album,it's really good stuff. I am looking forward to hearing the rest of the Suffocation releases. See you guys in South Bend, Indiana on 11/22.

I want to see much footage during THE REINCREMATION demo tape days as specially those articles from old xeroxed magazines. BTW I've have their reviews in the good old DEATHVOMIT MAGAZINE. Where is JEFF DEATHVOMIT now?

Yeah, according to Suffocation drummer Mike Smith in the thread "Mike, what's next??????" the DVD release might be finished in May, when the band is going on tour through Europe again.

Hard to say, the band hasn't even made an official statement about it yet.

Not that this explains a lot about the release date, but here's what Frank told me.

Quote:
I'm aware that your latest CD is still fairly new, but what about a DVD? Yeah, I know we have talked about it before and stuff, but there is someone working on it as we speak. We have guy going through everything and putting together stuff. The will be some surprises, just different things, but there's a lot of footage to go through. The band has been around for almost 20 years and you try and say: 'Okay, I want to take things from here when the band first started, things from here and put it all together and make a really sick DVD'. It takes time, but we're all working on it and it will be done [laughs].

Anyone ever seen Fugazi's "Instrument"? Something like that would be awesome - representative, introspective and feels more like a film rather than a compilation or a "commodity".

I'm actually surprised that Polish label Metal Mind Productions hasn't yet invited you over to Poland to record a high quality, multi-camera gig at Stodola Club in Warsaw.

In the past they've put out kick ass DVD's of such legendary old school death metal bands like Grave, Malevolent Creation, Obituary, Sinister, Vader, etc.

I fucking NEED this DVD. Have they filmed a full high quality show(s) for it yet? I would be happy with just the video footage, but the extras would be cool too.

Put as one of the main shows, the Key Club in Los Angeles, CA performance on Sunday, February 18th, 2006.

Not only THE best Suffocation show (was my 4th time seeing them), but THE greatest show I've ever witnessed...and of the greatest days of my life .

24 songs played, going in order from newest to oldest album. I can honestly say that show changed my life forever. Hearing Frank announce that special setlist was something of magic.

I was at that show on Long Island, and that was almost 2 years ago.

If I remember correctly, they didnt play Effigy of the Forgotten that night, but they did play Anomalistic Offerings, and Prelude To Repulsion.

Yes I do :-D

Suffocation setlist that night (Most of the order's correct):

Subconsciously Enslaved
Surgery of Impalement
Tomes of Acrimony
Demise of the Clone
Despise the Sun
Catatonia
Funeral Inception
Thrones of Blood
Torn into Enthrallment
Pierced from Within
Suspended in Tribulation

(15 minute break)

Breeding the Spawn
Prelude to Repulsion
Anomalistic Offerings
Epitaph of the Credulous
Ornaments of Decrepancy
Infecting the Crypts
Effigy of the Forgotten
Liege of Inveracity
Habitual Infamy
Jesus Wept

Well 21 songs. Thought there was another I was forgetting but that's about right. I talked to Terrence after the show for only a minute or so to thank him for that legendary concert, and he said if it was allowed, they would have played 30

If there's a photo gallery included then it should have pics that haven't been seen by the public so far or haven't been on the internet yet. The usual promo shots that are on the net are cool, but they're already available. Way too many bands have photo galleries on their DVDs that are not special at all.

An additional audio-comment track on one of the live-shows would be killer. There the band could point out tricky parts, explain something, talk about how the show was and stuff like that.

as the sepulturas`s "under siege" video back in the 90's you should put into de dvd a little poster of the band, the logo, something graphic i don`t know...
