Hopefully the new drummer's name is Jonas. Spawn of Possession could always use another Jonas in the band.

And then they can change their name to Spawn of Jonas! Since that would be sort of what's happening.

Dave Haley would be interesting I agree...But well, I guess he could do it..He has incredible groove feel but it's more than that.
I've heard Reno a few times but, honestly, is he that great? I've only heard a few songs with standard structure (Panzerchrist? Not sure of the name.) and I wasn't really too impressed. I forget his name but the guy in Disavowed comes to mind...Romain Goulon? Some of his drum compositions and blasts are extremely groove based...Not to say any drummer is really "suited" for the position though...We're comparing other musicians to someone who was specific to what they did.

As for Marco, he's pretty fast..but, I haven't heard him do much technical work and even when I hear him play stuff from The Faceless it seems to lack what the original drummer did, it doesn't maintain that consistency that Nick Pierce had..still good none the less, but I wouldn't suggest him.

Not sure, but I think the guy from The Allseeing I maybe can handle the drumparts in SoP? I'm kind of a noob when it comes to thinking if one drummer can replace another, so I may be wrong..

Dave Haley and Romain would both be awesome fits. Shit so would that lyle dude. Id kill myself if lord marco got the job. Dennis also contributed musically so it`ll be weird to hear just straight up Bryssling. I mean of course it`ll be godly but different. I thought Noctambulant was perfect. SOOOO ahead of its time.

Sure Dave and Romain would sound pretty wicked in spawn of possession, but they're involved in their own projects right now, and in different countries as well, so other than session work, i doubt they'd be up for it. I think that the guy from the Shattering (Max Grahn?) would sound pretty interesting behind the kit for SoP... and considering he lives in Sweden, its much more plausible and a much more logical choice than Dave Haley or Romain Goulon..

Scythrawl would be interesting..He could pull off Scorched without question, lol. As for the more complex parts..I believe he is capable, though generally you don't get too hear too much complexity as much as you get to hear drive in his music. None the less, I agree with the post above mine, that does seem a bit more fitting.

hmm I think Mads maxes out at around 250-260bpm with his hands. so playing scorched and the likes would only happen if he did a "slow" gravity blast

Not sure which part of the song/which drum pattern you're referring to, but the answer is probably no.

Haha, I see. Well, it was worth trying. (:
Btw, sorry Erlend to bother you with this, but what's up with The Allseeing I?
Will you release a new album sometime in the near future?
Again, sorry if I'm bothering you with this, didn't mean to at all!

Max Grahn from The Shattering would indeed, as someone else already mentioned, be interesting...
I hope to read some updates on the drummer/status of Spawn of Possession situation soon! (:

Playing "Noctambulant" right now, hehe.

I`m eagerly awaiting some outakes of our album mix sometime this week, from the same guy that mixed the two last Blood Red Throne albums. I don`t have any info as of yet on the release though, since we`re dealing a bit back and forth with labels.

Allright, I'm really curious of what the new material will sound like, I really dig your "JaggÂnatha" ep/demo and the other song you posted on the band's myspace.
Liked the sound of the last two Blood Red Throne albums, so I guess the new songs from ASI will sound great as well
I guess I'll just have to sit and wait for the new ASI album then, haha.
Anyways, good luck with the label shopping and everything. (:
