The only power amp I've tried it with was a 50 watt VHT. It was huge sounding, I'm probably going to use a Mesa power amp however, possibly the 100 Recto power amp. But for right now I'm perfectly happy with my current rig.

yo bulb/jake whomever has thoughts- do yall have the axe-fx regular or the ultra/ do you think its worth the extra 500 bucks for the ultra? it seems like the ultra has a bunch of effects i dont care about, but it has a faster processor? im just trying to streamline my studio, and will sell an amp for one of these this summer im fairly positive.

*also how is the "feel" when you play this direct to recording, does it play like an amp?

get the ultra honestly dude, the power comes in handy when you are running dual rigs or one really intense rig, there is a reason you see a ton of standards for sale but few ultras hehe...
it feels just like an amp when you record, makes the pod feel like delayed plastic
