they have time to update their website and change everything about it, but they can't get back to their customer's or potential customer's?

I can only imagine how horrible the wait would be if there is something wrong with them.
I had the same problem but apparently the owners wife died. Also, My persuader sounds like a fucking neck pick-up. I`m not sure what to do, take it back to the dude who did the installation or bitch at APC ? Suggestions ? Syrinx sounds great though/

the persuader lead or just the regular? I think there's two different types for the persuader.

For sure it shouldn't sound like a neck pickup, whatever bridge pickup you've got.
It's extremely unlikely that there is something wrong with the pickup. I would definitely take it back to the installer first to check it. They could have wired it in parallel or something.
There's so many "experts" out there these days installing pickups who haven't got a clue what they are doing - unless it's Seymour Duncan/Big company wiring codes.
Not necessarily the case here, but I hear about stuffed up wiring jobs a lot.
If it's definitely been wired the right way (in series) - it's possible that they sent you the wrong one, with the wrong name printed on it.

depends, do you like the EMG's in your guitar now? you've got the 81/81/85 combo right?

Mike Gilbert posted a clip of his combo with no extra EQ/compression on the SS board when he first got them. Scott from Incinerate recorded their new album with them and I haven't read a single bad review yet.

I say get one if you're not happy with your tone now because unless you get a Shure SM57 mic and a cab, you're probably going to be doing all your demo recording direct-in when you get your new computer and the pickups will make all the difference in the world if you get a VAMP/record direct-in.

I've had the $ on hold for a long time now and I'll definitely post clips when I get mine. You can come up an jam out on them too. I've actually been waiting for them to record some new songs. Soooo anxious.

around $95 a piece. I'm fixing to order the Persuader Lead/Syrinx combo as soon as I come up with 30 more bucks.

here's a clip Mike from Severed Savior did - http://www.zshare.net/audio/mgilbert...asolo-mp3.html

guitar: Jackson SLSMG
amp: direct-in (VAMP) I believe.

and the original thread - http://www.smnnews.com/board/showthread.php?t=146977
Did you order them straight off the site, i didn't see anything of that sort, the site seemed like it had minimal information.

Yeah, the EMG's I've got now are great, but I'm anxious to hear these APC's in person, like you, I've heard nothing but great things about them so I'm looking forward to you getting them and being able to jam / record with them. I should be getting a cab pretty soon though, but to start out I'm still probably going to record DI. We'll see once I get everything set up.

Sounds good. Those EMG's are good enough to get the job done with DI recording anyway. I think the combo you have now sounds excellent for clean tones more so than distorted ones. For the dirty stuff, it sounds like everyone else since they are pretty much ubiquitous when it comes to metal. No real character and very sterile sounding, but they get the job done. They are great pickups if you have a bunch of rack gear and pedals because that extra gear will color your tone a bit more, but the EMG's keep everything nice and balanced. This is why David Gilmour uses them live because he has a fuck load of outboard gear when he's onstage.

I have a quick question, i currently have a Jackson DXMG, and the sound is pretty good for the price of the guitar, but the pickups are passive EMG's and the wood is Basswood and does not achieve as good of a sound as alder, but it doesn't make that much of a difference. I was just wondering, i wanted to replace the pickups and if i bought a Syrinx and a Persuader, should i put them in this guitar, or buy them, wait a bit and buy something along the lines of a Jackson DK1 or a Jackson DKMG and put the APC's in there. Im not that knowledgeable on the wood effects with the pickups so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, he replied almost instantly when I made a general inquiry, but after asking him specifically about a Syrinx and a Persauder, he hasn't responded...

is this the combo you're looking to get?

I was thinking of going Felony X in the neck with a Persuader Lead in the bridge. Can't wait get these fucking pickups already.
