beeping in my monitors
my stupid sound card keeps making this beep noise every 5 seconds or so. or at least I'm guessing it's my card and not my monitors. has this even happened to anyone here before?

If you have a wireless internet adaptor in your computer, disable it. When I had my Saffire Pro running via Firewire in my laptop I got random beeps with my wireless card turned on but they went away once I turned it off.

Don't just disable it in Windows, find the on/off switch for the card and turn it off and see if it works. I had to flip the switch on the front of my laptop so that the wireless indicator light went from blue to orange...

Mac remember? haha, I just turned off Bluetooth. I'm going to unplug my router and see if that works.

Use a wired connection or don't be connected to the internet when you're recording... Unless you are using your new interface for all of your sound when you're just browsing in which case I think you might be SOL...

The other thing is look into your properties for your wireless, maybe there are alerts or something you can turn off.

That could be it, but I was getting this beeping even when I wasn't browsing the forum/internet.
It is pretty fucking annoying, haha. |

if you have anything active through the firewire port that will cause a buzzing.

Next time you hear it close all the forum tabs and see if it's still there.

nah, there was something up with the router. I traded it out with my mom's old one she doesn't use anymore and it went away. This was before siN or whoever fixed that annoying ad because it wasn't the same thing. very strange coincidence though.
