Noctambulant expectations

Beyond hearing the two new tracks, what do you expect from Noctambulant? Are you disapointed, or excited with what these songs bring to the table? What sort of things (perhaps not present in the songs) would you like to see in the new album? Are you content for it to be another Cabinet?... Or what would you like to see that goes beyond that album?

Discussss.

I have to say when it comes to this band, with the sort of mood I'm in when I usually listen to them, I wouldn't want them to go completely experimental and release something drastically different. The new stuff seems to have a similar feel to Cabinet, however at the same time there seems to be even more going on in the riffs. I'd like to see the bass play a bit more of an individual role in the music, but it won't bother me greatly if it doesn't.

I love the production on this album. The Cabinet tone was unique, it didn't sound bad but I wasn't the hugest fan of it either. This time around the guitars sound way better, the vocals are fantastic and nothing seems too loud/quiet in the mix (well maybe the bass is a tiny bit quiet).

I'm a huge Spawn fan, so I'm pretty biased... but this new album is going to be excellent. I love the feel on Cabinet; technical and darkly melodic in some way, and still brutal and ugly when it wants to be. I wouldn't at all mind if they did that this time, too.

Regardless, it's going to be one of the absolute highlights of this year.

Based on the two samples, it sounds like they've done ed zachary what I hoped: expand on Cabinet and add new shit with improved (!) musicianship.

Killer.

So far of the two tracks i've heard, i can't fucking wait! I can already tell they are'nt going to stray too far from their sound they had on cabinet, but its still a step up. I asn't dissapointed at all with these new tracks and i doubt i wil be with the rest of this album. I even ordered that package with the t shirt and posster! that album coveris SIIIIICK!

I heard the two tracks on the neurotic page and ordered the pre-order package. When is the album actually going to be released? I want this fucking thing man! It sounds like the composition has developped massively. Brutal as fuck ! great! I expect that it´s going to be even better than cabinet because it´s made in one piece and there are no former demotracks. this can only get fucking great!

Yes, Matt from Decrepit Birth said that, that is the one with Dusty from Severed Savior doing backups. This will rule!

I did. I got mine the second day after it was available. They only made like 200, and I'm getting one. Yay!

They're sent out early but at a reasonable time. Or at least that's how it was with psycroptic.

Anyway, the two new songs are fucking great and I can't wait for the release.

Plus.. the art is becoming one of my favorites.

Hell yeah Jihad! Par Olofsson is fucking sick. I love that one viking design he did for Deeds on the cd Crown of Souls, and it was used on their dvd.

Well, the tracks are sick but i prefer the production on cabinet. The guitars sound a little weaker compared but then again, i am only listening to the myspace version, hopefully the cd will sound fuller. The solos have certainly gotten better (not that they weren't good before tho).

This is the best unique technical death metal band around, i never will forget taking a gamble on buying cabinet and listening to it on my way home........i could not believe my ears....i came to the conclusion they were the best and most unique band from that day on....and that was in 2003 haha still no one has topped them and no one can convince me otherwise....with that being said i have confidence this will be one of the top albums of the year no problem...now topping cabinet, thats another fuckin story haha that will be very hard to do...

I'm expecting it to be good. If it's not, then I'll be dissapointed.

But I seriously doubt it will be bad. "Lash By Lash" is the shit

I havent been this psyched about a release since I started listening to extreme metal five years ago.

I haven't heard either album yet, but I know that either 'Noctambulant' or the new Martyr will be my album of the year.
