It seems that alot of the people who post in this thread listen to either Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead, or The Mars Volta.

p.s. Everyone needs to hear Drukqs.

I'm going to have to remove two of my choices and substitute them for

Deftones - Adrenalin and Around the Fur.

I can't believe I didn't write them down to begin with.

For Shame....

And dude is right about Drukqs. I wore out one copy and had to burn another. I didn't feel bad about downloading it since I'd already bought one copy.

Yeah, I have Drukqs.. shit is good. If you guys like that and haven't heard Venetian Snares I highly recommend the album i mentioned in my post above. Fuckin' sick beats with string samples, and other classical instruments.

Tool: "Lateralus" and Calculating Infinity are pretty indispensable to me; Destroy Erase Improve and ...And Justice For All would probably make it. So six more?

Steve Reich: "Music for 18 Musicians"
Thelonious Monk: "Brilliant Corners"
Lightning Bolt "Ride the Skies"
Bohren und der Club of Gore: "Black Earth"
Bruce Springsteen: "Born to Run"
Ludacris: "Back for the First Time"

"Drukqs" could probably sub for some of those, or either Necrophagist album, or any Venetian Snares album.

Fucking solid list, minus the last 5 except Amon Tobin (and I might switch that to Bricolage), but dude I love 100% of the rest of those albums (though I'd prob also switch out the Coltrane album for Ascension). RESPECK

When I read that it reminded me about something I forgot to say in my post. There could be a load of Venetian Snares, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, etc, but:
1. There are loads of albums to mention, they'd take up a top ten easily.
2. But also, as albums, some of them are loaded with filler. eg Drukqs is amazing, but it does have loads of filler, so even though I love it, it's not really great as a full album.

So I'm leaving them out, but I do love them. However Rossz Csillag Allat Szuletett stands out for me, and I would have put it in my top ten if I hadn't run out of slots.
