after reading you guys for a while I decided to jump in on this one

in no particular order:

Miles Davis "Bitches Brew"
Unsane "Occupational Hazard"
My Bloody Valentine "Loveless"
Pig Destroyer "Terrifyer"
Captain Beefheart "Trout Mask Replica"
DEP "Miss Machine"
Lightning Bolt "Ride the Skies"
Unwound "Leaves Turn Inside You"
Sepultura "Arise"
Beastie Boys "Pauls Boutique"

let me introduce myself:
I´m from Barcelona, I´m 33 years old. I work in a public library, use to buy vinyl and have a girlfriend who loves Nasum and Unsane. i´m always looking for challenging, creative stuff and DEP have delivered just that from the very beginning.
I haven´t listened to Ire Works yet, I preordered it from relapse and I´m holding my breath. I think I´ve never been more excited about a new record coming out.. ok, maybe when the beastie boys released Check Your Head. The fact that Ben is fully happy about the album makes me anxious about the record.
I´m currently listening to stuff like High On Fire, Pelican, Young Marble Giants, Les Savy Fav, Liars, Earth..

ok, cheers everybody!

Dillinger Escape Plan-Miss Machine
Dillinger Escape Plan-Ire Works
Faith No More-King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime
Tomahawk-s/t
Mastodon-Blood Mountain
Electric Wizard-Dopethrone
Mansun-Six
Clutch-Robot Hive/Exodus

Mr Bungle-California

In no particular order, except for Miss Machine definitely being top. I'm not sure how I rate Ire Works against MM yet, but I am sure it's in the top ten. If having two DEP records is cheating, swap it out for You Fail Me by Converge.

FNM - KFADFFAL
Black Flag - Everything Went Black
Foo Fighters - The Colour and the Shape
Fugazi - The Arguement
Godflesh - Streetcleaner
Hope Conspiracy - Death Knows Your Name
Killing Joke - Pandemonium
Meat Puppets - II
Minutemen - Double Nickels
NIN - With Teeth

... maybe. Colour me amazed at the amount of people who've said King For A Day - everyone usually says Angel Dust (which is FNM's best album and an awesome collection of songs) but I just think KFAD flows better, like it takes you on a journey.

the east EP was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoo much better than I Dont Care Where I Go When I Die. the lyrics were great, but the music was such shit. i mean, dissonance is great for stuff like the title track, but the rest was way too over the top trying-to-not-sound-melodic. i dunno what happened with them. i mean, when i heard Calf i nearly shit myself cuz it was so good, but the rest sucked.

its one of the most original metal sounds to come around. its like mosquito control era isis mixed with botch. actually, it really is eerily like Mosquito Control, it even has a Life Under The Swatter moment during Cattle where they through in some crazy fucking awesome high pitch scream vocal that they never use again in any other song. let me know if you cant find it anywhere and ill put it on mediafire for you or something.
