I recently upgraded my PC with an i7-8700k, 16G DDR4 ram, and MSI G370 motherboard, but I'm experiencing temperature issues. While running pretty much any game, my temps range between 58C to somewhere in the high 70's/low 80's. My only thought is that I didn't add enough thermal paste, but my roommate says he's sure it's fine and not to worry about the temps. Any thoughts?

My first thought was that it was a normal temp but reddit seems to think it's a little bit high (not insane though):

Anyone get Far Cry 5 yet? It's a bit of a cluster, but I'm loving it so far. There's almost too much shit to do. I bought the Lepa NEOllusion RGB heatsink and it totally fixed my temp issues, so I can finally stop stressing about that.

Finally, FINALLY after many months since its release, I got around to playing Evil Wthin 2 for PS4. Definitely has a Silent Hill vibe which is partly why I am loving it at the moment. Though I can't understand why some of the reviews compared it to Resident Evil 4 because I just don't see any resemblance to it whatsoever.

I’m on Chapter 5 of 17 of A Plague Tale: Innocence, and I’m loving it so far. Pretty annoying that there’s no ultrawide support, but I was able to boost the resolution on my PC and the game looks amazing

was playing Sekiro before hurting my left arm and getting swamped at work, got to Great Shinobi Owl who was kicking my ass a lot. overall, up to that point i found the regular game way too easy due to the power of "stealth" vs regular mooks, which makes the combat only halfway interesting vs bosses. the bosses were hit & miss for the most part, though weirdly i found the easiest to be the ones that were the hardest for most (like grandma, lightning boi, ghost lady), while the hardest to me were relatively trivial for most (fake monk, bull(shit), first chained ogre)

the long pause has kind of killed the enthusiasm for the game (plus the aforementioned meh combat, imo) i had so i don't think i'll replay to get a different ending (probably the first From game which i won't replay at least once)

Any thoughts on Death Stranding or Jedi Fallen Order?

I'm buying Fallen Order after work today, but I bought Norman Reedus and The Fetus last week and think it's alright. It's one of those games where when I'm actually playing it, I'm having a decent time, but I actually feel like I have to force myself to play it. I'm not past Chapter 3 yet, and I keep hearing that the game picks up after that section

Considering the gameplay and mechanics, it's more fun than it should be. Regardless, Jedi Fallen Order is far superior and it's my GOTY so far. Too bad I had to quit early since the tequila started hitting me hard, but I can't recommend it enough. The music and setting makes it feel like an interactive Star Wars movie, and the fact that you can customize your motherfucking lightsaber might be my favorite thing ever. Sucks that you gotta be a ginger though

you must’ve skipped mgs. in those games, you deliver the flu to triple agents of marginal character while moving at the speed of dialogue. i just don’t know why he insists on trying to make me cry. been watching my girl play it, i can’t tell if my favorite part is the dead space-esque “go up the mountain asap” straight-line quest path the game provides, or watching her comply every time the game suggests it. i played for an hour the other night and circumvented a mountain to get to the destination on the other side, i imagine BTs would have made the straight-line suggested path an hour longer. this is patience: the game, and i’ve already got a good enough grip on the concept, all thanks to my exwife.
