I bought PT's Stupid Dream at the concert a few days ago - I've become rather fond of that album. I would've gotten a few other CDs as well but the merchandise place was quite poor in goods, so to speak.

Yeah, fantastic. "Ghosts in the park, appear just after dark. Killers, children, no-one has a harp."

I recently ordered a lot of CDs from an online store. Six of them got here today!

Green Carnation - A Night Under the Dam
(Finally! Would you believe I still haven't seen this?!)

Opeth - Damnation
(Yeah, I had been meaning to buy this for ages and it was rather cheap. I have most of Opeth's releases, so yeah, I had to actually buy this one too.)

Darkthrone - A Blaze in the Northern Sky
Darkthrone - Transilvian Hunger
(The two best Darkthrone albums and some of finest traditional black metal pieces!)

Manes - How the World Came to an End
(I have waited anxiously to get this, loving Manes and all. I've listened to it all day and I'm not disappointed at all. It's promising; I might end up loving it.)

Jefferson Airplane - The Essential
(I love JA - and this album has just about all their good songs.)

Exclamation WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Many of you have been waiting for sound, and we are sorry for the silence. We needed to be alone, without the hustle and bustle of the living. We are uncomfortable with the world, the industry and our place. We have been working, sluggishly, well aware we could end up with nothing. Nonetheless we believe we have succeeded in giving our fears some kind of form. SHADOWS OF THE SUN, our 7th full-length album, is finished and will be released October 1st. We feel it is our most personal record to date. Low-key, dark, and tragic. As we are.

ULVER, Oslo, July 13 2007.

I only have their 1st album and it's been collecting dust for many years.. I tried "Blood Inside" once but it didn't do much at all for me either..

Bought yesterday at the Stonehenge festival:
SLAYER - Hell Awaits (finally my 'essential' Slayer collection is complete)
EMPEROR - As The Shadows Rise picture 7-inch EP

My Personal favorite in "Marriage of Heaven and Hell"... May I suggest at least the first track? (Plate 1). I'm not excatly sure what you're into... But If you're into Agalloch, the second album is just Folk Music, all acoustic stuff. There's actually a minute plus acapella in it. Just my humble recommendations on an ever evolving bunch of musicians.

Yes! I would also advise you to check out "Themes from William Blake's Marriage of Heaven and Hell".

When I was first getting into post-"black metal era" Ulver, I downloaded their entire discography. I listened through it and, to be sure, I deleted most of the newer stuff (including Blood Inside). Now I absolutely love just about everything they've recorded - but such things tend to take time. I think "Themes..." is the right album to get; said lightly, it bridges the metal with "their more recent approach".

My favourite Ulver material is the "A Quick Fix of Melancholy" EP but "Themes..." doesn't rank far behind!

My favourites so far are Blood Inside and A Quick Fix of Melancholy EP.

"loveless vessels
we vow
solo love
we see
love solve loss
else we see
love sow woe
selves we woo
we lose
losses we levee
we owe
we sell
loose vows
so we love
less well
so low
so level
wolves evolve"

For me, it's Quick Fix and Perdition City (music to an interior film).

The sleazy saxophone of the opening track does it for me every time... (I like sleaze)

Muse's "black Holes and Revelations" can't say I'm too impressed right now (I enjoyed their Absolution album), but it might grow on me. It took a while for Absolution to grow on me.

And I'm on amazon right now about to make a couple purchases. For those of you who saw my thread about Journey to the End of the Night, I've decided I am going to purchase it through Amazon for the price of $21.00. It is on sale from another user, and new. I do find it odd though that it is sold for $21 by that person (new) and everyone else is selling it for about $48 for OLD ones. I just hope that means that the first person is being reasonable with price.

And now I'm thinking about getting the GC dvd A Night Under the Dam
and/or Deadwing by Porcupine Tree.

I don't want to spend too much money, but I'll decide soon. hehe

I only recently (bought and) watched that concert; and it's brilliant. It has a very intimate air to it. If you like the Acoustic Verses, you should obviously get the DVD.

Recently received from an online mailorder:

Dødheimsgard - 666 International
Summoning - Stronghold
Sun of the Sleepless & Nachtmahr - I
Empyrium - A Retrospective
Arcturus - Disguised Masters
Manes - View (EP)
Manes - Vilosophe

Excellent album!

I recently purchased:

Katatonia - Brave Murder Day/For Funerals To Come
Katatonia - Dance Of December Souls
I - Between Two Worlds (Digipak w. 2 bonus tracks)

I also recently convinced someone who had never heard of Green Carnation to purchase LOD,DOD.

The season for this album is approaching again, for me this is the ultimate autumn/winter album. It's surely gonna receive increased playing time over here in the coming weeks/months.

BTW, seems you bought an old version, you might have preferred the BMD/Sounds Of Decay remaster, it sounds better than the original (which actually wasn't mastered at all).

Ahh, I never realized this one was a remaster. Perhaps I'll keep my eyes peeled for this one, too. Thanks!
