haah yeah i just got the album too, it's an amazing one!! although personally I have to say Affiliated was the best album to date, i just can't get enough of every track on that album. although i do want to say that i agree with bahamut, the feel of the music is more logical, a lil more coordinated in the sense of it being brutal death metal.
I also agree that I'm not huge fan of the screaming, but it isn't in there alot, so it's a minor thing. Overall though, fucking amazing album guys. and Erlend, the bass is rediculously sweet, keep it up man I really wish someone would tab this album (guitar and bass), i have both 'n' wanna learn both parts to every brt song :-D |

I defintively agree with you mauz for that what concerns Bass. Erlend, you make the difference on this album, just listen the beginning of the 2nd track or the last one! God, truly awesome, reminded me to what Steve Digiorgio did on Individual Thought Patterns.
I listened the cd about 100 times in 4 days, it's the only cd running in my car. I would say it won't disappoint anyone but it's really too short, just 8 song....damn, It isn't officially out and I already want more brt. Altered Genesis for me remain the best, damn 12 songs (!!) and were all ass kicking. |

ManuZ* ^_^
and yeah, I've been listening to the CD continuously for the past day, since i got it, i love Disincarnated's guitars, they're so fuckin kickass haha Altered Genesis IMO had a different feel to it, I in general like the feel that Affiliated gave off, Smite is probably one of the most listened to songs of my BRT collection (everything). |

oh...shut up mistress.
Don't speak about respect to the band If you don't know us and me in particular. I have these release of brt : deathmix Monument of death, suicide kit version, normal versione, lp, shirt affiliated.. - normal version, digipack version and lp a taste.. and listen to this... I also have TWO copies of the cd version of altered genesis just because the first one (that I bought the first week) had the booklet fucked up with two equal pages. and, do you know what? I've already preordered come death from earache website! Close your mouth. Everyone download nowaydays. Then there are gays ( most people ) that won't buy anything even if they liked the cd and the "grim" ( like me) who buy all what they like. I had 1300 original cd, I can open a distro with my collection! Damn...you shouldn't have spoken without knowing nothing. Last edited by bahamut88; 08-08-2007 at 10:39 AM.. |

Yeah, you are right after 6 years of knowing Tchort it is about time to kiss his ass... I shouldn't have "respect" for him and just go fucking download the album... maybe I shouldn't even bother going to the concert? since you blame to know me and think i'm just some fucking groupie who knows shit about metal, well sorry to disappoint you but if there is ONE girl who was headbanging & enjoying the BRT gig for 100 % when they were in Belgium, it was me ;)
Not to mention what I do have in my collection of them... So yeah, I don't know what "respect" means... good thing you do know what it means *lol* |

New album sounds pretty spanky. A little more 'modern' than I was hoping, but still Blood Red Throne. You guys need to start putting your real logo on the darn covers! Things are starting to look a bit... tame on the visual side! BAH!
Criticisms aside, I can't wait to get this in my grubby paws. Good work all! (Except the artist) |

Got the album in the mail today. God damn, it's great. Probably one of the best releases this year. I love the part on "Slaying the Lamb" where Vald goes: "Never to rise a-gaiiin! And the Gorguts cover song is also nice. Congratulations on a perfect album, guys!

I've been listening to it a bit more and... well, it's gotten less impressive rather than more. Definitely my least favourite BRT so far. Sounds less like Blood Red Throne and more like simply any other DM band, if anyone knows what I mean.
Regardless, i'm still buying it. |

Bought it yesterday and its on heavy rotation. Great album, the riffs are killer and fucking HEAVY. The production is also very good, one of the few albums were the bass is audible (Erlend = Webster2.0, thumbs up). Great album , hope to see you guys on tour.

Hi DOD, the screaming part, I have to say, are not a big problem. Probably at the beginning I can't get used to them. I prefer the normal growl style like Hustler did on the old albums and the new singer do pretty well on the new one.
It's also true that mixing vocal may vary a little bit the music experience but I continue to prefer the grunt ![]() |

Hey Død and BRT(and everyone else here too
![]() There's nothing wrong with the high-pitched screams, I fucking love them! Especially the ones in Slaying the Lamb. Reminds me of Peter Tägtgren's wicked shrieks, which is a good thing - he is one of my favourite extreme metal vocalists! Keep it brutal guys! ![]() H |
