Those are all programs for Mac, but their forums are filled with mostly PC applications.

Damn I'm pumped! Thanks for the info bro!
I'm gonna feel guilty about this software downloading eventually... When I realized that the Waves Mercury bundle I downloaded months ago is worth $12,500 I almost shit a brick. |

Audio professionals. It's pretty unethical to profit off of downloading plug-in's and software if you're selling your services to musicians.
However, I don't think there is a problem using the software for personal projects or to learn it and try it before purchasing it. As long as you don't make money using it. |

http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3344711/...d.OSX.RTAS.VST[k].sit (copy and paste that whole thing)
It's in there. Waves Mercury is $12,500 because it has like every single plugin they make, and most of them are like $800 each if you buy them separately. I might buy Waves Gold or something some day, because I only mess around with like 4 of the plugins in the Mercury bundle, but the Mercury bundle was all I could find... I couldn't open it after I d/l it. It was just a blank document that said, "Choose Application to open file" (was an SIT file) or something like that when I would click on it. I even uninstalled it, d/l it again and saved it in my VST folder. Still didn't work.

The SIT file is a webpage, you have to open it in your browser and download the torrent from there :P
Here's the direct torrent link... http://torrents.thepiratebay.org/334...d.OSX.RTAS.VST[k].sit.3344711.TPB.torrent |

I know that, but I'm saying that after I have it d/l, it's still a blank document. When I double click on it, my Mac "grabs" it and nothing happens. Same thing happened when I d/l the file you just posted.

Do you have a Torrent client like uTorrent? You have to open the torrent file in a program like BitTorrent or uTorrent and then it connects to people all over the world who have the same torrent file seeding and it downloads the actual files from them...

I used Azureus for this file. I just d/l BitTorrent right now and I'll see if it works using that. Probably won't though, haha.

but what I noticed when I d/l Azureus was that it said it had an error d/l some read only file that mentioned plug-ins. I'm thinking that's why it didn't work but who knows. Still waiting on it to finish d/l in bittorrent though.
this is one of the reasons why I just fucking buy my software, haha. gets rid of all the bullshit that goes with illegal d/l. |

You should start using Reaper as your DAW, it comes with a pretty fuckin' good multiband compressor that would keep you happy while you save up for C4 ;)
Forgot you're on a Mac though... Reaper for Mac should be out soon though! |

but, but... I wanted to try out Andy's C4 settings, haha.
Reaper seems cool, but I just threw down $400 on Cubase 4 and I'm still learning everything about it so I don't really want to change platforms so soon if you know what I mean. Do you use Reaper now or are you still doing all your audio stuff in Cool Edit Pro? Got any new clips besides that gay metalcore song :p |

Reaper all the way for me, best fucking DAW software I've ever used. I was using Cubase SX3 before I switched over to Reaper. Reaper is faster, easier, has way better routing and has a ton of awesome features that a lot of the competition doesn't have. And it's 3mb haha... Plus it's updated like every 4 days and the creator is on the forum all the time adding features that people ask for.
I'll have some new shit up in a few weeks when I get home and start using my new Mackie Onyx 1200F, but for now here's a super rough demo of a thrash song me and my buddies sort of wrote as a joke, tracked through a Focusrite Saffire Pro and mixed in Reaper... http://www.ashesofthefallen.net/sharkattack2.mp3 |

Damn, reaper sounds awesome. I'm going to give it a shot.
I used audionews.ru, but didnt like it that much. Now I use proaudiotorrents.org and audiozonetorrents.com, and I think those sites have open signups once a month too. |
