In honour of its 19th birthday, on top of it being an excuse to get a new thread going up on this desolate hellscape of a board, as well as it being one of the greatest DM albums in history, let us collectively praise - those Vigna leads, Hernandez' unmatchable even-to-this-day drumming, the sheer iconoclasm.... I just wish they'd play more songs from this era than having half or most of their sets filled with Atonement songs, which is what happened the last 2 times I saw them

Greatest album by the greatest band. Got into atonement recently and feel awful that I dismissed it when it initially dropped. I even dig kingdom now. Obviously Dawn through UC is untouchable but new era HR, Shadows, majesty, kingdom, and atonement are all enjoyable in their own way. I guess I’ve been listening to them for so long and I know each album so well, each sound distinct to me. They could punt a newborn baby into the crowd during one of their live shows and I wouldn’t have a problem with it.

Amazing album. Between this and DoP, they're my two favorite Immolation albums. Seeing Immo on the CTAWB tour was pretty special.
