That is an excellent show. I haven't heard a lot of the smaller ones on there, but the headliners are solid.

I want to see Resistant Culture live. My buddy played a few tracks of them for me a few weeks back, really good band.

Too expensive for hardcore! I also fucking hate Shaman Records, they moved the Magrudergrind show in Chicago 2 or so months ago to a 21+ venue at the last second.

what's Chi-Town like for grind gigs?
Only show I've been to, well, not just in Chicago but stateside overall, was a solely DM affair at, i think some university hall. Aiming to go back to Ill noise in the next 12 months so curious really. |

There's a lot of DIY venues around here, like Metal Shakers and People's Projects. A lot of Mexican bars/restaurants double as music venues too...I remember seeing Fuck The Facts with Moral Decay and La Armada at Club Azucar, which was a tiny Mexican bar in Logan Square. There's also some coffee shops that have metal gigs every now and then like Cafe DuVall in Pilsen and The Coffee Pot in Bridgeport....it's just a matter of networking. The best part is bands and venues help each other out. There's a lot of cross promotion that goes on in the city.
