am i the only one who likes dimmu more? and i do mean the early stuff. like for all tid and stormblast vs In The Nightside Eclipse and anthems to the welkin at dusk. maybe it is cause i'm a pussy and i like the more melodic simple shit as opposed to the blasting hugeness of emperor. dimmu just speaks to me more.

Wouldn't you know it? We have been writing and learning new material for the past month or so. Given that we plan to go to Mexico in February and Europe in March/April, I would not expect any new releases from us until sometime later next year.

also, why isn't impaled hailed as the greatest band in the world yet? it just doesn't make sense to me. i mean, name a band better than impaled. that's a trick question because you can't.
This will forever remain a mystery that will boggle minds for generations to come.

Was just spinning Mondo Medicale this morning...on my brand new 5.1 surround stereo system (yeah, christmas came early for me this year!).

Man, I still can't figure out how a bunch of disoriented bunch of fuckwits like yourselves could record such a goddamn awesome album.

Truly puzzled...

Emperor is better than a lot of bands, especially Dimmu Borgir.

yeah, emperor is amazing, my desktop backround is now "in the nightside eclipse", one of the coolest album covers ever (that i can have on my computer without others looking in disgust and asking " is his eye popping out?"). recently i've discovered gorgoroth, any feelings on them? i can't really find anything about them, plus they don't allow their lyrics to be on the internet. so if anyone has any of their lyrics, help me out.

also i'll just ask, the best black metal band ever? i already know who the best death/thrash/all together metal band is. but black metal i'm still not sure about.

There's a few lyrics from the Incipit Satan album around on the internet, but the vocals on that album are pretty easy to understand anyway.

Methinks the best black metal is Dissection, though some argue that they are death metal, bla bla bla...

The guitar tone, and overall production on mondo medicale is honestly one of the best I've ever heard, and without sounding like an asshole, I say the next album needs to sound like this as well.

yes, next album definetly needs to have production leaning more towards the mondo medicale album.

death after life is perfect except for just the first song, it doesn't explode open like dead inside does, frankly i think going with preservation of death would have been better, but that's just my opinion, i'm just part of the huddled masses.

also, i was wondering, any chance of an MTV unplugged album?!? that would rule. i'm just joking, but seriously, that would be great if there was some track like that, please? the fans have spoken, and we want accoustic song!!!

The way things are going now, it will probably be similar to it but not exactly like it. Even with Mondo Medicale I think there are some minor production problems that will certainly be improved upon with the next record.

It would not have made sense for the story to do that. Besides, I personally think "Mondo Medicale" is ass-kicking enough as an opener; it's one of the fastest and shortest songs on the album, which is perfect to set the stage for what's to come.

While I think it would be funny for us to all sit around with acoustic guitars & bass and Raul on a set of bongos and congas, with scarfs tied around our legs, the atmosphere being relaxed and performer/audience camaraderie well-established, the closest you'd ever get to that is a solo bandoneon version of "The Resurrectionists" that I arranged last year but still have not learned. Look for it in tango cafes sometime in the future.

The next album, I know is going to be a live recorded acoustic album, with songs about flower arrangement and cloud patterns. Man, if my computer at home was working I could whip up an awesome cover, ah well.

Just kidding, we want more fast agressive gore metal brutality
