A Sun That Never Sets is easily their most accessible album. For me at least, it's the most consistently memorable from start to finish.

I wouldn't ask about it. I'd just pick one album listen to it. Usually its newest one from any active band, and maybe then i'd ask around. And in now way should one start listening to the whole discography.. thats just artificial i agree. Never worked for me.
All that being said i really wonder when i'm gonna start listening to Neurosis. They definitely put on one of the most moving and intense live shows i've ever witnessed. Everything i heard from them or about them for that matter is great, but for some reason i never have the mood for it haha I think i've listen to full lenghts 2 or 3 times max, like ever |

Really? I thought that album was kinda hard to get into it since some of it was more minimalist. Maybe it's more the state of mind I was in when I heard it in high school.

The first Neurosis track I heard was "The Tide" and it remains one of my favourites from them to this day. Nowadays I can't listen to it much because it's so soul-crushingly beautiful. The whole of "A Sun That Never Sets"... Holy shit. "Falling Unknown", "Stones From The Sky"? God tier material right there...
