Will you be using one of these on your new album http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katzenklavier? And will Liam quit if you do?

BEN!!
Any word on the collab with zach hill?

Will you guys be putting out vids like for Ire works to stir all of us up? When will they be out?

Can you guys convince Metallica to release 82588 as a download for rockband? After all the swinging they did on your guys nuts you'd think they'd release a song you guys named after them that would destroy all those kids minds. Or are they worried about being one-upped?

I like how you mention in interviews that the soundtrack of your childhood was music from broadway musicals. Any particular faves or hates?

What did your mom think about the nude Kerrang photo shoot?

I've got a couple more questions that are music related that I've wondered since I started writing and programming music.

When you are writing and putting these songs together, do you have the riff fully formed in your head and you try to program/play as close as you can to the riff in your head? Or do you take a few notes or an idea and fiddle with it and let it evolve into something on its own?

Do you write the songs first or the parts to the songs? One thing Dillinger was much better at then similar bands is writing songs, while other bands write riffs and string them together (usually crappily). Do you have a set path or idea for a song and write the parts to complement that? Or do you have parts written and then see how they fit best and fill in parts where needed?

Miss Machine's songs were all very different and it was kind of a song-based album, whereas the tracks on Ire Works sometimes flow into each other and the record has a general mood to it. What's the new one like- more connected or more song-based?

Ben: Greg is always pretty open about his political opinions, and I imagine you have yours as well. I wonder if you have any thoughts about the California Supreme Court's decision to uphold Proposition 8 (if you don't mind descending into the mire of politics.)
I stayed for a short time, but had to leave before anybody came out. (Stupid California Supreme Court okaying the tyranny of the majority over the minority. Where would we be if Lincoln made slavery a ballot initiative? What the fuck?)

after years of abuse i have lost all the cartilage in my knees. I don't wear knee pads but have started wearing knee wraps and a ton of duck tape on the inside of my pants cause they keep ripping. So annoying. I should wear fucking full armor.

I am very envious of tuttles flowing hair

we have not played probably 2 song off Ire works live.

I dont know about the guitars. I use LTD's because they work as well as some 2000 guitar for what i need.

All the shows suck and rule for one reason or another. I remember some UK shows being pretty killer.

We are 5 different people with different opinions. Greg is a very outspoken and intelligent person. I don't' agree with everything he believes however (like the whole speeding tickets are the man trying steel from us for instance haha). The fact is that we are just normal people and if something is on our mind we may talk about it. That may be anything from being pissed off about getting a ticket to expressing that we think a band sucks. We are always open to be real with people about our opinions. Even if it has anything to do with our band. here are my feelings about Proposition 8. I think that regardless of how anyone feels about God's intentions or this or that, the reality is that there are so many fuck job trash pieces of shit getting married and having kids. Many of those kids are raised by a man and a woman to be racists, sexist, close minded. They are abused both mentally and physically. Man I think some dogs could prob raise a child better. So yeah I think that if 2 respectable people can get married and have all the same rights that anyone else would have they should. why would anyone want to discourage anyone from being in a monogamous, loving relationship. I mean sounds like hell to me but fuck it!

Who does drugs in the band? and what drugs do they do?
I saw an interview with Greg and he was talking about doing shrooms at the grand canyon.

Also, on the Miss Machine DVD you say you wrote all the music and lyrics for Unretrofied, are there any other songs that you've wrote the lyrics to?

The songs are written all different ways. Sometimes in the head. Sometimes from tinkering around, sometimes on drums first sometimes on guitar sometimes on piano. We are picky with what we choose to release. If it is just clever with no energy then it goes.. Maybe that is the difference for us.
