also MOMTK sounds awesome as always. Lack of Will doing vocals is a bummer, but Blake's superior drumming makes up for it.

both setlists are about just as good. I'd rather see shevanel live than MOMTK. The only thing that makes the current setlist better is swim to the moon, but i'm pissed that they play d/i/m instead of fossil. also obfuscation without mirrors is like playing foam born B without foam born A, fuckin dan.

Same setlist. momtk was awesome. Blake fails at double bass now after going goofy foot and played the alaska outro with triplet kick and the 4th beat floor tom. Other than that eveything was pretty solid. Wank wank wank wank. Oh and dustie doesn't even play anything during the obfuscation dream theater solo part.

Scale the summit was pretty bad ass. Guys have some serious chops.

Devin townsend was quite the comedian and they were pretty tight. Last 2 songs had the click track in the sample because they switched them up accidentally some time. Ziltoid was bad ass.

As for the more important band on the bill, cynic played:
nunc sans
space for this
celestial voyage
evolutionary sleeper
Adams murmur
textures
king of those who know
unknown guest

traced in air just jumped up a level for me after seeing it live. The sound check included samples and the how could I intro played but they didn't play it. Fail.

tonight was great, every act pulled off everything well except for cynic and devin had some technical issues and I couldn't hear paul's guittar in btbam.

ATL show was bad ass. Alaska and MOMTK made that fucking show. Much better than when I saw them in Macon last year, despite them playing mostly TSC shit at that show.

Dislike the setlist from BTBAM, but I still haven't seen any of Colors played live as I skipped out the last two times they were in Toronto/surrounding area.

Plus I want to see Cynic... so... will still go. At least I know not to get my hopes too far up.

Also trying to measure cocks by using songs you've heard BTBAM play is stupid. On that note I've seen everything off of s/t and everything but Shevanel Take 2 and Need for Repetition from TSC. And everything but Croakies and Lazer Speed.. and Medicine Wheel... and Breathe Out... from Alaska.

/stupid

Hopefully Cynic will change up their setlists a little, take out Celestial Voyage and put in pretty much any other Focus song. I'm assuming they opened with Nunc Fluens and not Nunc Stans? I'm going to the Philly and Baltimore shows, can't wait.

Also, The Unknown Guest seems like a strange choice for a closer, considering it ends pretty abruptly.

Just like I thought, I missed Cynic. Lame.

But BTBAM was great as always. More of Myself to Kill was 10x better live and Swim to the Moon was epic live just like I had hoped.

Can't wait to see the show on video.

Oh shit. Integral Birth is a good closer, although The Unknown Guest would be cool to see. The solo section is one of my favorite parts of TIA.

Fuck you so much, man. I was so stoked on The Unknown Guest. The solo is the best part of TIA.

I honestly thought integral birth was the weakest song on TIA. Not that its a bad song but it did seem kind of filler for me. And yeah textures > how could i, but i need to hear both live since i never get to see cynic.

I'm extremely pumped to hear swim to the moon though. i feel like that song is massively under-rated by boardgoers.

I love Swim To The Moon ( Ima prog faggot ) and it was really epic live

Textures live was just qpwokee[l[gg;]pthth;]t]pl[ylj[tylj[yj

Yeah, really excited to see Swim to the Moon, and White Walls. Very, very excited.

White Walls best song of all time? Definitely.

Actually, I kinda love that song, and I was thinking that imo, that could be their best all time song, really, that statement has creedence. I mean that song has every element of Btbam contained within, and everything is done so god damn well. FML, I might be agreeing with JO3.
