single coil pickups that sound like humbuckers
Hi everyone, new here. anyways, im getting a pretty sweet deal on a jackson sl1 soloist. ive always used 2 humbuckers and have never really like single coil. but its a good deal on this sl1 so i wanna jump on it. so my question is i plan on getting an apc for the bridge pickup. does anyone have any suggestions for good single coil pickups. the sl1 comes with 2 single coils and 1 humbucker. I would like to find one that has the apc/emg tone. I play mostly techy death metal...HELP?!?!?!

1 more thing. ill only be using the neck pick up occasionally for leads.

There's a few pickups you can get that are single sized humbuckers for guitars with this issue, Check here. I think Dimarzio do some as well.

If working the dials on your amp isn’t making much of a difference or it’s not getting the sound your looking for, this definitely will - an MXR m116 Fullbore Metal...

DiMarzio for sure the splitting coils are like humbuckers.

I've probably didn't connect my seymour duncan Invader pick up correctly because it's sounds more like a cheap ass single coil.
So the other way around I guess... |

DiMarzio without a doubt the part loops resemble humbuckers.
