probably cause she'd just mentioned the song "constant pain", its easy to make that kind of mistake and she really praied the album! i hate the 1 - 5 rating system though, i mean 4 out of five looks good, but that only 80% which is kinda shit, still a mint review though! 4.5 out of 5, woohoo!

i found this one altho its in german

http://www.music-scan.de/infos/revie...e=true&view=0#

which roughly trasnlates into

Do the Australian The Berzerker lead also on its Longplayer third now “world Of draw lots Grind, Death and Industrial-Samples (or should speak one yet better immediately by Techno-Beats?) together. What is noticeable of start at, is a new quality with regard to the Radikalität and Kompromisslosigkeit of the Bandsounds, for so thick and Blastbeat-oriented the Australier in the past did not appear. The members of The Berzerker seem to experience in its everyday life little positive, for differently this is deeply „violent“to explain of its effect here alone destruktive Longplayer hardly. First with increasing game time, occasionally short (!) are found! Breaks that let have a breather a few, but over the 14 did not play draw lots takes trickily of “world Of“ away the Sextett its extreme brutality back. Does the claim stand behind the third work perhaps, a maximum at „inhumanity and Blastbeat-Mayhem to vertonen? This mission would be successful geglückt! The Berzerker produce is missing here a hate pile of special same, that in view of the Fokussierung on Brachialität and speed naturally the change. For that the pressure wing is official!

To Sam.

Thats how people react when they dont like the music.
Ive read tons of reviews of the other 2 albums saying that you cant even hear the riffs because of the gabba beats. I think someone need to get their ears trained..

But that is what The Berzerker is, either you love it or hate it. I have never met anybody in between. But most people who dislikes The Berzerker havent take a good listen, some of them have only heard 30 sec's of No One Wins as an example.

Personally i mean that if you cant set the music in perspective, then dont review it. Thats what many (review)writers need to learn..

you would really hope that people like reviewers would have more sense, i mean if the guy is so ignorant he is in no position to be commenting seriously on other peoples work

In fairness, it looks to be a forum and some guy saying his piece not a real review as such. And I can handle dudes saying that they hate the music, the drumming, the sounds, the speed, etc. It's not for everyone.

But for someone to be lucky enough to get a promo then be so brain-explodingly dumb as to complain about it being split up into 99 tracks, with a full explanation as to why that is printed on the reverse of the promo packaging....

*deep breath*

Anyway, back to the lookout for reviews. I enjoyed that one, more.

here is a rough translation

The Aussies are back! Unterlegten it until now Death Metal snatch up with Gabba-Beats, changed that. They been subject hysterical Todesblei-Riffing with fat Drums and getriggerten Doublebass-attacks…. The first 12 numbers hoe themselves that unfriendly dreinschauenden boy from Down Under through aggressive, brutal death lead attacks, that fall out short-term almost dragging, predominantly however quickly until very crashing through the shrubs woods. Therefore always beautifully on the twelve, what for itself taken is not badly. Through the very dominant mixed Bassdrum, that becomes very however gradually somewhat stressful and fires away quite monotonous before itself there. If once a Norway-lastiges Metal snatched up looked emerges like in „Afterlife“, breathes one smoothly through, before the omnipresent Trigger-Drum again zuballert. After almost 35 minutes, one is angry then not even when with „………“ a three minute being quiet rules, before the Farewell“ entitled Outro with discreet Instrumentarisierung satisfied 20(!!!) Minutes gloomily before itself there groovt. Quasi Hardcore-birds and then snuggling.

Metal Hammer UK, typed by me from issue 149.

They said;

"They Started as a joke. The Berzerker was supposedly a mysterious scary charachter, who even claimedto hold offical conversations for interviews etc while using a 'crazy' voice scrambler. It was kind of funny at the time, but not really that funny. Now, such gimmicks seem to have faded, leaving a decent enough underground metal band, albeit one that's sadly always several songs short of a good album. 'World of Lies' does nothing to change that reputation. It's al gusto, gusty music, but the band never escape the trap of soundling like they're hoping someone will come along to add substance to the amazing riffs. Bit like expecting empty roads on the day of a train strike. Not a chance in Hell. Pointless daft mayhem. After all this time, the Berzerker should be doing better records."

They gave your album 5/10

which is really kinda funny considering my first ever contact with the berzerker was from listening to the precise interview they're talking about as a bonus track on a metal hammer magazine. this is the magazine that proclaimed mastadon to be the heaviest band in the world. why do i get the impression that they are really not worth taking any notice of? fucking assholes, they're going the same way as kerrang. i only hope the same degridation never hits terrorizer. haha, what am i talking about, thats already happening.

Me too, me and TIMR bought it at the same time in Hellraiser!
I was like, "What, to buy NOW? YYYEEEUUURRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!"
Alright, I didn't necro-roar at them, but I felt it!
It is a totally brutal album, the best one yet.
Got a World Of Lies T-shirt as well, which totally rules!

Like I said, best album yet.
Rock on, Luke and co.

Luke and co. touring America behind the scenes, theres a lot of Ed and Jason being interviwed, Luke also talks us through recording the new album solely on his lap-top. There's also some footage at a gig where Luke says 'someone has seriously hurt themselves.' and that's it basically.

I particularily found the bits where Luke talked us through layering the tracks, and playing around with equilizers ands things particularily interesting. I'd like to thank Luke personally for talking us through that process, and for including this part solely for the fans.
