Psycroptic should re-record their first album

What do you guys think? Personally I think it would be a good idea to make the album more accessible since the sound is not super (as compared to scepter and symbols)

Disagree. I like the album how it is, it's got a great atmosphere and that's partly because of the production. Plus with with the way they've evolved, not to mention the costs in recording an album, I don't think it would be a very smart decision.

Why on earth would you want to change that sound? It's probably my favourite production as far as the three albums go.

Because of the production on "The Isle...", you've got some of Psycroptic's heaviest moments. Like someone above said, "if it ain't broke..."; the production is just fine.

I'd rather they decide what they want to do with their music.

Chalky did record the best DM vocals ever on Scepter, yes....

I've sometimes thought it might be nice to hear some of the things happening on Isle a little clearer, but it isn't an unpleasant production. Its murkiness I find is suited to the themes and the artwork... incidental but endearing. I also quite like a discography with different production values and different atmospheres... So Isle is right as it is for me.

What the hell are you talking about; the production on the album isn't even bad. Death Metal is not supposed to be accessible.

the sound on it is awesome. it sounds brutal as fuck.
you couldnt re-create the heaviness of a song like psycroptipath with a tight, over-triggered recording

Psycroptipath is probably my favorite song out of all 3 of the albums. The Isle... is fucking bad ass.

my god is this thread still alive? I GET IT I WAS WRONG OK

lol

whatever I'm just sad to see the direction in which psycroptic are going (IMO the latest album is horrible because of vox) but anyway, with Emotopsy announcing their latest lineup and psycroptic not having a good vocalist... spawn of possession not havinh a drummer.... fuck I think im just gonna have to listen to defeated sanity and wait for the next decrepit
