I downloaded it already. I already got my shipping confirmation email on Friday the 14th, so it should have been here already. I'm having problems with mail arriving from the UK for about a year and a half now, things go missing and/or arrive with delay, it's getting really annoying. It should take 2-3 days for mail to arrive within Europe, so more than a week is not normal. Still, so far I have always received stuff I ordered from Burning Shed, so let's hope this'll get here too sooner or later...

Have to say only the last track grabbed me initially, just 'cos it has a nice groove in parts. I played Nil Recurring and The Sky Moves Sideways at a friend's place last night while I cooked dinner for a few people and TSMS went down well, but NR not so well. Not that that means anything at all, of course, as PTree is hardly dinner-party music!!! One thing I'll say is the opening track or two really DO/DOES feel like leftovers from FOABP. Mostly because of the recycled lyrics and melodies, of course. But it leaves me wondering how SW could have stressed so emphatically on PT's website that this is absolutely a standalone release and not leftovers. Leaves me a little confused. Need to listen a bit more, of course, but right now I've got an Emperor 'Best Of' selection playing, so it'll have to wait for another day! |

Porcupine Tree, having realised (after playing here a few months ago) that they have an audience in Denmark, is playing again in November. With Anathema supporting them! So yeah, I just wanted to share that with you. This time, however, I hope to hear some more off SD and also the more spacey songs like Radioactive Toy.
![]() ![]() And - again - thanks for making me give PT enough of a chance for me to discover them as the brilliant music-makers they are! Last edited by NiF; 10-03-2007 at 09:56 AM.. |

Yeah, like The Sky Moves Sideways (the song). I love it so much and this is the perfect time of year for it too - they just never seem to play stuff from that album.

Another one I really like is of course Voyage 34, but that being such a concept album I think it's difficult to tear it apart. Fortunately they do tend to throw Radioactive Toy in sometimes. Let's keep our fingers crossed. But then, I love them so much that they actually can play (almost) anything. I'll definately enjoy it. PS: I just realised my English was a mess when I wrote the previous message. Sorry nickc, you being from London and all ... must hurt. Last edited by Black Rose; 10-06-2007 at 08:36 AM.. |

I am a HUGE PT fan, but I have to say I'm still not much into the stuff before the Signify album and Signify itself is also not 100% great i.m.o., there are a couple of great songs (Sleep of no Dreaming, Sever, Waiting, Dark Matter), but I'm not much into the more ambient/electronic songs.
They could play Fadeaway with Wes on vocals though, LOVE that song, particularly the XMII version. Oh and I FINALLY got my Nil Recurring CD today, took more than 3 weeks!! ![]() |
