Why thank you, sir! I guess I was too lazy to go digging for the gauges that comprise the standard sets you'd described.

Apologies for the sly remark earlier!

I'd gone for some heavier gauges as that gives me the action (titty-action included) that I'm looking for. As a result, I guess I might take some sacrifices in speed, but tremolo picking on .56's is good exercise for the wrist (I have a girlfriend, you see...). Plus, for string-skipping you need the strings to have pretty high tension so they stay in place for when you come back to strike them again...

do any of you guys know how to eliminate fret buzz without lowering action ????


i already raised mine alot more than id like too and its slowing me down and my friends guitar is set super low and he gets no buzz like mine does


any help would be appriciated

Are you sure Sean? That must be really loose. I got 13-56s on mine and they don't buzz as much and they are not floppy at all. Any lower and my stings become floppy. Do your strings flop all over the place?

I'd suggest checking your neck. Could use intonating. a pack of 11s should have no buzz when tuned down to B.
