I´m just listening to the altered and I really got to say that it rocks. Cool shit! Better than the ....suffering! Cool riffs and a great guitar sound. It sounds like if you were using mesas? what was it? definitely a fat sound!

Cannibalistic_Horror 03-21-2006 04:22 PM

Altered Gensis fucking owns. Mephitication and Smite are fucking immense songs.

DeathDealer 03-21-2006 06:36 PM

indeed
mephitication,state of darkness,ripsaw resentment,incarnadine mangler

my fav tracks

Nordisk Krigstromme 04-14-2006 02:09 PM

one of my favourite albums to date, but where's the solos?!

so much prime opportunity for solos and only 2 in the album.
either way it still slays.

Insurgent 04-19-2006 09:28 AM

Fuck yeah. Artierial Lust, Ripsaw Resentment and Mephitication fucking own. 'Monument of Death' is still my favorite cd of all time :D Listen to it everyday from and to work. CANT GET ENOUGH. *head bangs, hopes not to crash* :D

Silence Is Deafening 06-09-2006 04:06 AM

Bought the album today and I love it! One of my faves at the moment. :)

Surt 06-29-2006 08:07 PM

i used to post on here back before 'Altered Genesis', then fell by the wasteside...

have to admit I was fucking impressed when I heard, what I think in hindsight was possibly 'Mephitication', over the PA at a metal club night I used to go to...

definately a good album, no matter how many times you listen to it....

really need to see you short Norsk bastards live though...

Sculpy 06-29-2006 09:39 PM

Yeah, seeing BRT play would virtually change my life. Those riffs are to murder for.

Alpha~Omega 08-10-2006 03:30 PM

Finally got this album and its fucking great. Damn good riffs, cool basslines and the artwork is also done very well. Cheers guys, keep up the good work \,,/

Cannibalistic_Horror 08-11-2006 10:33 AM

What is weird with this album is that no matter how often I listen to it, it never gets boring. It is such a fucking ace album.

i totally agree with you, i love the album i almost listen it every week, and it's just the best death metal album i know.
can't wait to hear the new BRT album, i hope it kicks ass too.

pierced 10-07-2006 04:34 PM

Hey, Don't you know what kind of Amps used Erlend on this recording?

Erland 10-07-2006 05:02 PM

a 30watt roland combo amp that fits in your pocket.

tenorbass 10-07-2006 05:11 PM

The Roland 30 Cube bass? What would you do mic the roland or use it for tone?

pierced 10-08-2006 03:09 AM

And that sounds so strong ?!

I think Altered has one of the best Death Metal bass-sound.

thats the one! http://www.roland.com/products/com/C...ages/top_M.jpg

just miked it up and put on some plugins . so a big stack in studio for getting a big full sound is just crap imao. at least since thats what we did on the previous albums.

pierced 10-08-2006 04:03 AM

You told here a secret, man. I'll try this.

When will the All seeing I CD be released?

Erland 10-08-2006 04:37 AM

well. no date set yet. its been a lot of back and forth with the mixing/mastering. so sometime in the first quarter of 07 i hope.

on the upcoming european tour with aeon and pyrexia, yes. dunno after that.

pierced 10-08-2006 06:04 AM

Will the tour visit Hungary?

Erland 10-08-2006 06:11 AM

i dont know yet. havent gotten the tour dates. check in on the decrepit forum or myspace later on i guess.

pierced 10-08-2006 07:56 AM

Well, you haven't played here, have ya? (There were a Blood Red Throne/Hate Eternal / Behemoth tour sceduled for last autumn, but it was cancelled...)

What kind of bass do you use? (And what did you use on Altered?)

In Smite video I saw a Warwick Jazzman, but i am not sure...

Erland 10-08-2006 08:09 AM

i borrowed a warwick rockbass for the show which the video is taken from. later on i bought a warwick jazzman, which i used on altered genesis. just bought a 5000 dollar Elrick aswell. so heres my current gear lineup:

Warwick FNA jazzman
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...d/IMG_0982.jpg

A.Ustad 6 stringer

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...d/IMG_0983.jpg

A.Ustad 5 string fretless

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...d/IMG_0078.jpg

my latest addition. an Elrick platinum series 6 stringer

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...1/Bilde006.jpg

pierced 10-08-2006 08:24 AM

I haven't heard about Elrick, is that a new company? Is it good (the bass)?

Erland 10-08-2006 08:27 AM

www.elrick.com . been around for a few years. its the equivelant to the greats fodera and alembic, but alot cheaper. not that 5000 bucks is cheap, but its by far the best instrument ive ever tried/had.

pierced 10-08-2006 08:52 AM

Well, yeah, it's a bit expensive :-)

pierced 10-09-2006 09:24 AM

Does everybody knows where can I find bass tabs, from this album?

cakebat 10-09-2006 11:35 AM

Damn!! That Elrick bass looks fucking great!

Sculpy 10-11-2006 12:07 PM

Beautiful basses BRT bass dude.

Erland 10-12-2006 07:34 AM

sure are. and i got an endorsment deal with warwick today, so expect more gear coming up :P

cakebat 10-12-2006 11:38 AM

Wow!
Sick
Wil we bee seeing som custom Erlend basses in the near future? :P
And congrats!

pierced 10-12-2006 04:22 PM

What do I need to do, to have an endorsement deal with Warwick?

(Sure, Congrats!)

Erland 10-12-2006 04:29 PM

dunno. i got contacted via youtube from one of the warwick developers. dont know how the link spread to them though.

Sculpy 10-13-2006 06:45 AM

And the bass cannot be said (unfortunately) to be at the forefront of BRT's sound. Nevertheless, well done you. I'd like to hear some of that Warwick muscle coming through on the new recording, and not just at the few and far between moments when the guitars aren't there!

ARGGHH! More bass in modern death metal says I!!!!

Erland 10-13-2006 06:54 AM

well, for once ive had the time to work out some basslines. so the new stuff will be more bass orientated at least. so i guess your wish will come true.

Erland 10-16-2006 08:00 AM

recorded half of my song at a friends house last night. turns out pretty decent, i think. probably get it done later tonight, so i might upload it to sendspae or something if it turns out good.

Alpha~Omega 10-17-2006 08:46 AM

I think the production of the last BRT as far as bass is concerned was pretty good. So its cool to hear that the new one has even more of those sick basslines.

@Erlend congrats for the Warwick deal. By the way is there already a release date for the new BRT album or maybe a full length Allseeing I?
